The Challenge

A global financial services company with offices in over 50 countries found that its learning platform was limited in functionality and could not offer a single location for users to find all learning. The company selected Knowledgepool to deliver a:

  • Company branded portal with data interfaces to support an authorisation process, reporting cost centre charging processes, and invoicing.
  • Seamless integration of the company’s learning management system and e-learning library, providing direct launch of SkillSoft hosted e-learning titles.

The Solution

Knowledgepool provides the company with a learning portal that offers a single point of entry into the development opportunities available for technology staff at the company. This portal is a ‘one stop shop’ for technology learning – classroom, blended, webinar, e-learning and books. This centralised offering to employees allows for consistency and accessibility across all regions, while allowing Knowledgepool to leverage global spend through global suppliers and the company to contract with, and be invoiced by, one supplier.

Knowledgepool is supporting the company in moving towards virtual learning, allowing regions to leverage a central offering and maximising the investment by filling webinar classes with participants from different regions to meet global demand.

The Outcome

We have successfully reduced the amount of administration support required from the company’s learning and development function, freeing up resource to focus on delivering value for the business and working in partnership with internal clients. From identifying demand and scheduling dates with suppliers or internal subject matter experts, to booking, communications and evaluation; the end to end process is efficient and consistent through the support of a dedicated Knowledgepool team.

Through our management information, global reporting and analytics are now available to the company, which allows for informed and transparent decisions to be taken to shape the company’s future learning vision. Evaluation data now allows for quality to be monitored across all regions, allowing for suppliers to be managed appropriately and allowing the measurement of the impact the learning has had in the workplace.
